Well it’s been 40 years since we walked out of the doors of AHS. I was married right out of school and divorced in ’77. I worked at Meier & Frank for 7 years and moved to Alaska for a year. I then moved back home to Portland and found a job
with Nike, Inc. and have been here for 30 years this August. I married my husband Robert in August of ’91 and we are still happily together after 24 years of marriage and dating for two years.
This reunion is a bit of a sad one, with all the classmates we lost this past year. This will make us stronger for times to come. I will miss them all, but I will miss Billy L. the most. He wasn’t much of a
dancer but we would dance at least once at each reunion. As we picked the theme 40 years ago, “The Long and Winding Road”, it still rings true today.
